Question

cinder bloc laying - how many wet layers at a time ?

i thought i could take a deep breath and erect an entire shed in one sitting (dimensions approx. 12 L x 10 W x 8 H) but then i though that the weight from the above may squish the wet mortar of the lower layers.

thanks,

It won't. Lay the corners up, then fill in around, and you can lay it all at one setting (theoretically, of course).

If you have the right mortar consistancy and are a relative rookie you can go up as fast as you can lay the block to a reasonable quality, even for a smaller job.
