Changing exterior window molding and vinyl siding

I currently have a modest 1960-era wood garage doors & windows that have a little decorative trim (e.g., drip cap, small sills, etc.) I like the little bits of detail. Long story short, a contractor is installing new-construction Anderson windows and vinyl shingle siding on my home. He is installing plain trim (bent aluminum, picture frame style).

How difficult is it to add more decorative trim at a later time?

Really could use a picture.
Any differant trim that can be used on vinyl siding that I know of would involve having to removing the siding and redoing what's been redone.
Now would be the time to do it not later.

Yes, the siding would have to be removed. How big a job would it be to remove the siding and add some decorative trim? Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the old trim style (e.g. just a simple drip cap). And the new trim hasn't been installed...so I cant' show you what it will be.

Drip cap is what's used on the outside edges of roofs.
Kind of hard to suggested anything or tell you how to install it if we have no idea what it is you plan on installing.

Hmmm....Drip EDGE is what's on the roof. "Drip CAP" is a type of trim that's used on top of wooden windows so that water runs off better (hence the name). Certainteed makes a version (http://www.certainteed.com/resources/RM001.pdf)
