Chain link without terminal post

We recently fenced in our yard with chain link and when we got to the end near the garage, we couldn't dig down to bury a post due to the garage foundation. There is about a 6" gap between the terminal post and garage, we had ghetto fabbed a temporary solution to keep the dogs in the yard but it 1, looks bad and 2, is no longer preventing them from escaping. Is there any way we can attach chain link to the garage without a post? It doesn't need to be pulled tight, just keep the dogs in the yard. It's vinyl siding on the garage.

How about attaching a tensioner bar to the house wall?

You can buy clamps, I think they are called "sistering clamps" for chain link fencing. These allow you to attach a post to a post, therefore filling in an empty space such as you have, and they are for this purpose. There will be some gap between each post, but not enough for a dog to get through, unless it's a tiny dog. You probably won't find them at big box stores, only at local fencing vendors/installers. Call a local fencing company to ask about these, or what they may have in stock for this situation. David
