I just had cement siding put on my home. The contractor drill a hole in the siding to use as the gate latching. My concern and question are, with continued use of opening and closing the gate, won't the cement fiber siding began to start cracking? If so, what fix can I have the contractor use?
Thanks Kwikfishron for replying. However, I don't know how to post a picture. Perhaps I was not very descriptive in my question. In order for me to now lock and unlock the gate I must remove the gate latch bolt from the the drillled hole the contractor made in the cement siding. I am concern that the cement fider siding will began to crack. It there an alternative that can be used instead of using the drilled hole in the cement fiber board
I get you now. I’m not as worried cracking as much as I am the hole in the wall and water getting in and the more use the gate the hole will keep getting bigger.
Thanks for the instructions on how to post a picture, this will really come handie. Before I had T1-11 siding and used a 2X4 board to hold the gate latch.
