Ceiling Nailers?

I am working on finishing my basement, and will start drywalling soon. Is it necessary to have nailers along the walls so there is something to screw the ends of the drywall panels to? Or is it sufficient to use the wall panels to support edges of the ceiling panels? What is the best way to do this? Thanks.

Absolutely... it is neccessary, otherwise you will get cracks in the drywall corners...

Ceiling Nailers?

So if I have already framed the walls, how do I add the nailer? Or what is the best method of doing what needs to be done at this point?

It depends on how you framed the walls, where your joists are, etc...
