Ceiling Insulation in Basement

I'm in the process of finishing a basement. It currently has bat insulation in the ceiling of the basement and my question is this. When I finish the ceiling (either drop or drywall) should the bat insulation stay or go? Pros and cons? My gut sez leave it for, if nothing else, sound proofing.

Any and all thoughts?
Thanks,

Ceiling Insulation in Basement

I'd leave it, unless you have some specific reason to remove it
Will you have heat in the basement ?

Ceiling Insulation in Basement

Currently the basement is not heated, but my intention (early in the project) is to have the HVAC lines, vents, return run so that it will be. I know some of the insulation will have to come down in order to facilitate the running of the new lines so once it's down I didn't know whether to go to the trouble to reinstall it. It sounds like maybe I should.
Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a down side to leaving it that I hadn't considered.
