ceiling advice needed....

Hello, I am building a room inside a room, a vocal booth, I need help with the ceiling, it cannot be attached to the existing room, only put on top of the walls. what kind of products/ or building techniques are available in the market to prevent the ceiling from having a "belly" in time... something that will help me build a strong ceiling. (sorry for the non professional language :) )

If someone can point me in the right direction Thank you!

Hmm...we need some more info. What size room are you building? Your question sort of confuses me. Do you have any framing knowledge? To build a room inside a room wouldn't be much different than building a room itself. Probably use 2x4 framing for walls - although with it being a vocal booth maybe you'd want thicker walls not sure.

Attach resilient channel to the old ceiling and attach the new ceiling to the bottom of the resilient channel. But it depends on what you mean by "it cannot be attached to the existing room." Look up the details on how to attach it properly.

Just look up shed building plans, use 2 X 8's for the ceiling joist, and build it as if it was a flat roof.
