This may be a crazy idea, but here goes: I'm going to replace the existing tar & gravel deck, which is also the roof for part of the lower level.
Currently, the tar and gravel has 3' x 3' cedar panel sections on top of it (similar effect to parquet), resting on strips of styrofoam to keep the wood off the surface. The house's style suits wood better than Duradek, which is the option I'm considering. What do you think about pressure-washing the cedar panels, which are in pretty good shape, and replacing them onto a new Duradek surface, using fresh styrofoam strips to elevate them off the vinyl surface. Ridiculous??
Thanks in advance for comments. (this is my first post)
