cathedral ceiling on part of a building..

I am building a 53' x 20' garage / storage / outdoor living area. I am wanting to put cathedral ceiling's in the outdoor living area which is 20' x 17'. This area will not have any walls other than the back of the garage. I am comfortable with framing, and have done limited roofing. Please give me any advise from how to frame it, to how many post I will need.
