Cat House/Tree

Been awhile since I posted...Hi

I want to start learning how to wood work...so I figured I would start small just to get the hang of things. The cat told me the other evening that she would like to have a cat tree/house to play and lounge on. Wondering if some of the more knowledgable folks on here would have a good layout or instruction to provide....or should I just draw up a design and try and figure it out myself?

Sounds like someones been spending a little to much time alone.

Why not start out with something useful like a a bird house?

Kitty is going to love you! I posted one of my fave book titles awhile back suggesting the idea of cutting holes in drywall rather than installing pet doors. Easier to fix when done or moving and more festive too!

Anyhow the book has basic drawings for things in back. Look for a copy of "The Cat's House" as one starting point. Other kitty lovers will have ideas for you too.

Nicely designed and constructed cat climbing structures are fun and can help save your furniture too! Cats grow claws in two directions. Out of course but also up toward the cuticle. This is one reason they scratch old ones off. They hurt. Having things to climb on helps break the old nails off.
