Carrier beam directly on concrete ?

I'll be notching a pocket into my concrete frost wall to set the carrying beam into it, this is going to be 3 - 2x12 SP (w/ plywood between). Do they make some type of metal bracket so the wood is not directly against the concrete?

Simpson ST Brackets Here: http://www.strongtie.com/literature/...l?source=promo

Also, if the plans and/or engineering requirments don't dictate mechanical fastening (bracket-use with proper nails, lags or screws), you can wrap wood with Ice & Water membrane to separate it from concrete contact.
