Caps for angled rail posts - ideas?

When we redid our porch railings, we kept the original 4 x 4 posts (replacing the nasty wooden rails with vinyl ones). It looks great except the tops of the posts on the front steps are angled (originally the wood rails covered them) hence no pre-made caps will fit. Any ideas out there? (Due to the construction of the stairs and the covered porch that stretches across the front of the house, replacing or cladding the 4 x 4's was not feasible)
