Can't open Milgard Aluminum Single hung windows

I have 10yr old Anodized Single Hung Milgard windows. They have a latch handle on top of the lower window that has Milgard stamped on it. What is happening is that when I try to open the windows it seems that the top seal on the lower window catches on the upper fixed window catch that the lower window latch hooks onto to lock the window. Once I lift up hard enough the lower window seal will go past the upper window catch area, then the window will go up and down easly. All of the windows do the same thing. So I think it's either the seal has hardened up or expanded. There are no signs of corrison where the seal is located. Any thoughts?

Thank you for replying. Already contacted Milgard. I don't have the model number for the windows. They did provide the instructions for removal of the sash. So maybe after I remove one of the sash's I might be able to see what is going on better. Maybe there's a nylon guide that maybe worn?
