Can you use "safe and sound" as thermal insulation

Can you use "safe and sound" as thermal insulation. I have a bunch remaining and I need to insulate a small roof. Can I use the safe and sound? If so, what's it's R value?

Thanks,

Zantar.

Can you? Sure, no law against it...but compared to what? not using it and leaving it lying around doing nothing? If so, use it...

But if you're just using it for its R value compared to some other kind of insulation, you could do better. But, it's better than nothing.

Go to roxul.com to find out more.

Sound insulation is different to thermal, although it will help a bit. Try and swap with someone for thermal insulation, you may as well do a proper job if possible.

Okay. Thanks guys. Just thought I'd check as I could not see the R value spec on Roxul's webpage. Anyway, I'll just go out and grab some insulation batts then.
