Because most contractors know that when they tell 95% of the customers how much it costs to "repair" previous crappy work, they are not going to get the job and are just wasting time. This situation is almost always the direct result of the HO having previously price shopped his way down to the bottom feeders, and he still doesn't want to pay for professional work

Before I give a lengthy response I would like to know exactly what is wrong, and what your overall job was in more detail.

It may have been a simple miscommunication between you and the GC.

Is this something you could have seen as the job progressed?

Have you asked the original GC to fix at HIS cost?

If things were done that were not up to code, then He is at fault. If it was a matter of you expected something other than what was delivered, than that is a different story.

Please elaborate on your overall situation. I have helped many customers after a poor job was done originally, but before I take sides I like to hear the whole story.

Big Bob & JiggyjackI would like to elaborate so I could get an objective, professional opinion, but please understand that I do not feel as though this is the time or place.

I can't send PMs until I post another 14 times!
