Can anyone tell me if it's safe to remove this wall?
 

I want to remove the wall that divides my my staircase with the main downstairs. There are some joists tied into it. I think it's okay but here are some pics...

There was one picture on the site, and I was unable to tell from the photo exactly what you want to remove. Post some more pictures, maybe add an arrow showing exactly what you want to remove.

He has put 5 photos up, but it's still difficult to understand what's going on. Some joists look as though they have been sistered.

We often get this question and the honest answer is...
No one on an internet forum can tell you with certainty that you can or can not remove a wall.
You need someone in person to look at it.

We have had a thread where a guy was told the wall could be removed, he went with the advice to get someone to look at it, found out that it was load bearing and could not be removed.

Hi all... sorry to confuse you. I added several pictures because I also asked, in another thread here, if it was safe to notch out part of those sistered joist that you see.

The wall is the one seen is pic IMG_0170, IMG_0168...with the railing attached.
