Building wall and door under triple 2x_ header?

I have a triple 2x10 or 2x12 header across my house. There are support columns ever so often. I'd like to build a wall and put in French doors under this header.

So, header is 4.5" wide. Would I use 2x6s and rip them to 4.5" in width? What about the doors? I'd need to build the door frame so that they don't sag. Some kind of formula or diagram to explain how to build that? I would obviously need to build the wall in sections between the columns and keep them all in line.

Thanks!

Don't yell at me, all the previous owner's doing. I want to fix it and make it right.

You have two choices. Either build (or order) a custom jamb size for the door or frame the opening with 2x6 and fir out the rest of the wall to match that and order the door with a 6 9/16 jamb which is stranded for a 2x6 wall.

On the other side of that header is the HVAC supply/return, and I'll be building a bulkhead around that. I guess I could just use 2x6, flush with the header on the room side, and build the otherside with the bulkhead?
