-Building a Tool Garage-

Yes I was wondering what i need to take in consideration and what i need to think about before i build a garage its gonna be 35X30X6''thick, it should be thick enough to hold a truck on it, and its gonna be block, because block is fairly cheap around here. Im gonna pour the concrete flooring myself and lay the block myself and possibly the roof im gonna use trussels for the roof it makes life easier, i shouldnt have to have any plumbing done just maybe gutters and that should be about it except electricity I might be able to do that to just a basic from pole box to box. Input would be greatly appreciated! thanx

Depending on where you are located, you will need to consider the depth and width of your foundation/footing to support the block wall. The floor need not be 6 inches unless you like buying concrete, 4 inches is plenty if correctly done. If you are in a community, chances are you will have to follow the local building code and your inspector will give you guidence on what is required, based on what you wish to build.

well i live in a community but its not side by side house were spaced out and i dont think there is a building code around here i think the only thing it is on building something is having a electrician and fire marshal inspect the electrical part that is it
