Building room inside a barn

I am looking into building a roughly 19x13 room inside of an old 40x25 post and beam barn. The floor in the barn is just dirt. I want the room the be drywall on the inside and insulated. Probably just put osb on the exterior. The barn stays very dry throughout the year. My question is, what could i use as a foundation for the room besides pouring a concrete slab that would be very cheap and effective for this type of construction? I am going to try and tie two of the wall into the current post of the barn for added support. Thank you for any advice you can provide.

Easyer, and faster to just build it as if it was shed.
It still can not be in direct contact with the floor. It needs to be build on skids or 4 X 4 post set in the ground below the frost line.

Would you just use a gravel base and level skids off that? I was thinking if I build it in the barn then I wouldnt have to put a full fledged roof on it.

And you would be correct. Make sure to use at least, 4 would be better skids.
A simple flat roof would be fine.

Ok sounds good thanks. So you dont think it would necessary to tie the walls to the barn at all?

Why would you? There was no pictures or drawings so I'm just guessing.

How tall is the ceiling in the barn?

Ten foot ceiling

Joe is right----I built something similar inside an unheated garage to use as a laundry room----

So get it up off the dirt---you need some air circulation under it if you use wood framing for the floor---
