Building a door jam

I'm looking to build a door jam from scratch for my camp. Can someone please give me in detail how to do this.

Thanks

What do you mean "for my camp"?

Building a door jam

Unless you must have a jamb for an odd sized door, why would you want to build it from scratch. Go to one of the big box retailers and buy a jamb kit which has all the pieces, plus they are set up with the decent weather stripping. Or even better yet, buy a prehung fiberglass door unit with weather stripping and threshold; hang it in the rough opening, install lock, and enjoy the camp.
