building a deck

I am building a roof over my deck and I was planning on using lag screws to secure the rim board to the house and the inspector said I had to use a different type of screws he said they look like lag screws but had a star shape head and suppose to be stronger then lags. I was wondering if any body could help me out and knew what these are called? Thanks in advance for any help or input.

He is probably referring to "LedgerLocks"

HERE is a link.

Andy.

Got a picture of how your trying to attach this roof?
There's a whole bunch of ways this can be done wrong and have the roof leak.
Never once had I had an inspector suggest using those screws instead of through bolts or lags, so I like to see what he's talking about.

You received your answer already, what more do you want to know?

Ledger lock is the correct answer.
