Hi, I have a broken vinyl baluster on my front porch. I have a replacement but there is not near enough spring in the railing to pop the new baluster in. Can anyone tell me if I must remove the top rail just to put in the new baluster? Thanks for any help.
Not sure how we can tell you how to fix it when there's no picture.
There's hundreds of differant types of vinyl rail systems.
Is there not brackets on the ends of the rails to hold them in place that are just screwed in?
i install vinyl hand rail systems quite often on the composite decks we do.. usually the top rail has a trim sleave that covers the mounting bracket thats connected to the post.. slide the trim sleeve off and back oiut the screws. it should lift out of place. replace the baluster and put it all back together
