Bridging between joists


Does bridging between joists add any value if there's sheathing attached to both sides (OSB/plywood above, sheetrock below, for example). Fire blocking, yes, of course. But I'm talking about bridging for the sake of bridging. Seems to me the sheathing would prevent the joists from warping.
