brick veneer

Can I use thinset to install my brick veneer on wire mesh over a wood frame I've constructed on my interior arched doorway rather than motar ?

What is the products dimensions? Is this the 1/2" thick product that used to be put up inside to mimic real brick?

thinset verses motar

It's Elderado brick which is about 1" thick and I'll be using corners & alternating back and forth on a 3 1/2" wall. I'm only doing the arch of the door at the top and then building fake post's from the floor up to the arch at both sides. Elderado said to use motar as a scratch coat and then apply motar to the bricks about the consistency of peanut butter. It's going to be a pain to mix motar out side when it's 10 above zero & was thinking thinset if it works would be much easier.

Where did you plan to mix the thinset?
Mix it inside. Put down plastic and a drop cloth and mix it on top.

No, you have to do a mortar scratchcoat over the metal lath, then you can thinset the brick to the scratchcoat.
