Brick up against sliding patio door with J Channel?

I have a sliding patio door that has an integrated J channel (Certainteed).

I am going to put up a 3 ft brick veneer wall. How do I lay the brick around and under the door?

Brick up against sliding patio door with J Channel?

Get a mason to do it.

Well, if you do it yourself you will need a saw. I suggest cutting the brick to fit vertically between the slab and threshhold of the door. Put the good end up of course.

For the sides, just but the brick up to the j channel, then go back and silicone up around where the brick and j channel meet.

Remember to put your weep holes in the bottom for drainage.

If I put the brick up and leave a 1" gap between the sheathing and the brick, the brick will stick out pretty far past the integrated j channel. will this look weird? This is the top view
