Brick siding chipping off

Someone drilled a hole through this wall from the outside in for the electrical. The outside is stucco, the inside has brick siding. Under the conduit there are pieces chipping away. I need to fix this so it doesnt fall off and land on a baby. The chunks that are breaking off are about a half inch thick. I was thinking of taking some mortar, adding red coloring (to match the brick) and filling in where the chunks are missing. What do i need to do to get the mortar to adhere to the brick so it wont fall off in the future?

Take some photos and post them.
Keep the kid away from the area.

Ok will take pics but its at the pre school where my girl works. I just became their handyman lol
