Book on cinder block home construction

Does anyone knows of a good book on how to build a home with cinder block, plumbing, electrical work etc.

For electrical, Electrical Wiring Residential, by Ray Mullin, 16th edition covers 2008 NEC. Similar books on plumbing online or Borders, Barns/Noble. Not sure on block houses, you don't see that much anymore, not energy efficient.

Check out HUD information on block homes. Not that long ago they did a study on all block construction for homes. Block homes ARE very energy efficient if constructed properly. A block home will out perform a stick built house in almost every way. It is an excellent method of building if done right.

That is not necessarily even close. There are a lot of variables in the equation on this, the heating thereof being one of them. IMO, anyone building a concrete house needs to consider the practice very carefully. It can work, and it can be a disaster.
