I just had a garden window installed in my shower. It is made of vinyl. I would like the tiler to tile the bottom section of the garden window with travertine. Just want to know if there is a product out there that one can use to bond vinyl to travertine. Holes cannot be punctured in the vinyl window or else the warranty would become void. Cement board is not good because it will raise the travertine layer above the glass in the garden window. Any suggestions? Thanks!
If you have a local tile distributor where the tile guys buy from, check with them. Usually they have some knowledgable people that know the specific products they carry and their uses. I just put a shower in with a tile readi base and wall niche. They are made out of plastic. They supplied a two part epoxy thinset to use on the plastic areas. Worked real well. I would check with the suppliers first though and let them know what you are doing and see what they say.
