board-formed concrete


When I try this with rough sawn the "fuzz from the boards ends up stuck in the finish when i strip the forms, how can I prevent this?

My dad used to oil the boards w/ drain oil; only used them a few times, but it seems to have worked. Can you wrap them w/ visqueen?

Oil the forms with either commercial form release or 5 gal diesel to 1 quart motor oil, but the diesel/oil will stain the concrete.

finish'd lumber OR wax'd paper,,, there is form release agent you can also buy,,, isn't it illegal to use diesel or oil on forms anymore ? seems like 20syrs by now but maybe i'm wrong.

Form release, as noted above, or just power wash after stripping the forms.
