black shadows/stains on walls


joed,

very good call... "outline of the gable end truss on the interior" had me for a few days til...duh... must be a cathedral ceiling.

sounds like house was vacant and not heated or cooled... might account for inside and outside similar condition.

Sometimes heat damage can outline the framing, but the nail heads always show.

All this house may need is a good cleaning and paint.

LOL... pictures sure would have helped!

Joed that was a very informable link, It also answered my question on interior walls. I was confused when you said about poor insulation being one of the causes, until I read through the link . Very god. Thanks. BOB
