bedroom window to outside

We are looking to buy a century old house in Ontario. They are calling 1 room a bedroom that does not have a window on the outside of the building. However it does have a window facing into another room. Can this really be classified as a bedroom or is it actually a closet? Is this code for a bedroom.

Not knowing the "codes" in your specific place.
Talk to your Building Dept. -
they can tell you.
Around here -
that would not be considered a "bedroom".

Around here a room would need a closit in it to be concidered a bedroom.
Lots of older home did not even have closets because they used Amoures or chest of drawers to store there clothes.

Where I'm at -
a bedroom has to have a window to the outside of the structure -
technically.
Yeah, they like them to have closets, too!

I think its pretty universal the to be classified as a bedroom, it needs a window and a closet. If it is new work, they'll require the window to be a certain size for egress... That said, realtors stretch that kind of stuff all the time.
