Bathroom Shower Floor installed wrong!

My contractor installed a neo-angle shower. But the acrylic floor has been pooling water since the first day of installation. And it has that unstable feel of one of these you try out at a Home Depot.

The contractor claims he can fix this by removing the wall tile, maybe some of the floor tile and lifting the neo angle floor and resetting it. He claims it happened due to settlement.

I am concerned that he could make things worse, damaging the neo angle, the wall and floor tiles, etc.

Can it be fixed?

Should I be concerned about damage?

that also requires taking down the glass doors.

Another question is, when the shower water hits the angle where the door meets the glass wall, water escapes.

Is that what we should expect?

Hell no
He's either botched the bottom door sweep or clogged the weep holes.

The reason I ask is addressing the floor situation first.

okay....do you have an access panel that lets you gain access to the space between the shower floor and the subfloor?

Take it out and re set it.

I bet you find spray foam or concrete underneath this shower pan...

That or the extension from the drain was cut a 1/4" long and is pushing up off your PTrap.

No easy fix.

Just re do it...

Good Luck

I did not see it get installed, but I know there was a styrofoam template that came with it; I think that is what is underneath
