We are planning on adding a baseboard drainage system and an egress window in our finished basement....should one be done before the other?

Don't waste money on a baseboard ststem if you don't have a problem. - Water in soil moves up, down and laterally, so obviously a drainage system at or below the bottom of the footings is many times more effective and can even lower the humidity in the basement.

If you don't have a problem, don't worry about the drainage system now.

An egress window does not require attacking the lower part of the basement if it is put in according to code height requirements.

Oh we have a problem! LOL

There is tiling outside but its VERY VERY old and no longer effective apparently. Redoing that is not an option due to I am not willing to redo the ridiculous amount of landscaping around the house. Keep telling hubby it would be easier to just move! LOL:jester:

I'd consider doing them at about the same time, if it's feasible financially. If the egress window hole is cut in the foundation, and you wait to install the window, the hole makes a great way to get the sections of concrete floor out and the new concrete & other materials in w/o tracking it all through the house. Otherwise, neither of the projects should have much interference, if any, with the other.
