Basement water proofing

I hope this is the right forum for this ?

I live in the Detroit area where some homes are very close together perhaps
a driveway's width plus maybe 18 inches .
The problem I have is the space between both homes is cement wall to wall.
Now when it rains heavy water flows towards my home and then seeps down
along the wall to the basement where it seeps into my basement not a whole lot but enough to be a pain in the $%#, The walls are reg. cinder block. I can't afford to have my neighbors drive tore up for the amount of water on the floor.
I do recall years ago water proofing companies used to advertise using a
pressure like system where as they would pump tar against the homes basement wall and this would seal up any small leakages
.
Is this possible to do ? Would this be a way to go, if it is still available ?
Has anyone tried this with success ?

Another option you could do if you do not want to destroy your neighbor's drive way would to seal the walls with drylock paint and put in a french drain system with a sump pump in the basement. That would require digging out your basement floor along the perimeter our your basement.

good luck on the drylocking paints,,, they work ONLY if you're selling the house in dry weather,,, any wtr & you'll see wtr again,,, next time you walk by the display in your apron/vest store, look the other way,,, the only people who recommend that stuff either sell OR make it

the mtl you're trying to place is ' bentonite slurry ' - expansive clay mixed w/water [ think kitty litter ],,, ck the yellow pages for soil cement & see if 1` of those guys can help,,, caution - bentonite injections isn't guaranteed to catch 100% of the area.

if you hear it from a guy in the apron store, be VERY suspicious the mtl/method will work,,, when it time to build something together, they won't answer phones NOR help

drylock is like a bandaid-it covers up the symptoms, and does nothing to solve the issue at hand. use at your own risk

I would try to run a line of tar or some other waterproof product along the house/driveway corner. Or maybe some kind of flashing. Maybe even some caulk, though you'll probably have to re-apply it often, it cracks in winter.
