Basement Wall Insulation

A quick question on finishing my basement wall system. I've already put 1" rigid foam insulation against the poured walls and built 2x4 walls against the rigid foam.

In my basement, the bottom plate of the walls is right up against the foam, but moving up the wall there is anywhere from 1" to 2" of space. I hope that doesn't cause a problem.

According to this site I should use only un-faced batt insulation to finish the walls. My question is, how to keep the insulation in place without the kraft paper?

The insulation you put up should fit between your studs as long os you put them up 16 on center!!! Do you plan on using a vapor barrier???

If you did 24 on center then i think you can buy insulation that is made for 24 on center. But i would imagine that your studs are 16 on center...

Proper spacing of the studs will allow a friction fit

Yeah, I used 16 on center.

I'm having a hard time finding unfaced r-13 insulation. Should I just buy the faced king and remove the kraft paper?
