basement stair railing

I just finished my basement and I am stuck on how to do my basement railing. One side of the stairwell is totally open and the and the other has a wall going down about 1/2 way down. I would like to install a railing on the side that has the longer wall. On the side that is totally open I would like to install poles that go from the ceiling to stair strangers for safety reasons. I want to be able to remove them if I ever need to. I just can't find anything anywhere on this.

you could have a local fab shop make some steel railings they would lag bolt to your treads, post, or wall for wall rail. be removable and retain there strength each time you handle them.
