Basement foamboard question

I have a dry basement, no leaks or water problems. Most of the walls have been sealed with duralock product for basements. (basement age is 10 years old, most of the paint is that old as well with no flaking or cracking)

My dad acquired about 50 sheets of 3 inch foam board which I believe was using in some form of roof construction perhaps. The boards are 8 ft tall and 4 foot wide. They have a paper glued to them on both sides that seems to have fiberglass in it.

My dad has suggested using this board to cover the basement walls. Of course the seams would have to be sealed. My concern is that paper that is glued onto the boards. Like I said I believe it's got fiberglass in the paper because it can cause some serious itching, but I wonder if it might asbsorb moisture from the painted cement walls.

I'm looking for anyone that might have information on what this product is and some opinions on the usage.

Basement foamboard question

I don't know about the board, other than with the facing it may cause condensation on the wall after install, depending on location. You may need vapor permeable: http://www.buildingscience.com/docum...gs?full_view=1
