Basement Floor drainage help

We just moved into our new home and was hoping to clear up this floor a bit in the basement. I had purchased a bag of quikrete concrete resurfacer. I went ahead and patched up the major cracks and flaws in the floor with quick setting cement. This was a hand dug basement added after the home was built. About a week after I got some moisture on the floor mostly where it was patched. From looking at the perimeter drain and how this level of the basement is an 1 to 2 lower from the rest, I was trying to figure out if I could just throw down the resurfacer over this and then epoxy coat the floor, or is this a half finished floor that I need to pour up the rest to the same level as the other half? From what I read i thought the wall drains into the sump pump were normally cut into the floor but mine are up above it. Any help or input would be much appreciated.

Are you sure the sump pump is working? Also it is missing the alarm that is supposed to be in that open hole (to tell you if the sump failed). The quick drying cement doesn't make a very good patch on the basement floor because it just doesn't try hard enough - hopefully you chiseled out enough that the cement has an area to hold onto?

It doesn't look bad; the system installed there (Basement Systems?) may need to be flushed/cleaned and have that alarm replaced. You may be able to get a new lid for that sump; the newer lid also has a drain in it...

I do have the alarm, I took it out to replace the battery. We have run the sump pump and it is working. Would a hydrolic cement be better to patch with? I can try to knock out what I did and redo it.

I re-read; if you bought the resurfacer I would think that would be fine (I'm no expert anyway).

Also, the "Basement Systems" drains do stick out; it is for connecting to their waterproofing wall system, I don't think its great. I have the same setup in my basement; although not installed as well.
