Basement concrete foundation wall insulation question
I am remodeling/updating my walkout basement. On the front of the walkout level toward the street or deep side of the basement, where the foundation is full height, (ie not the walk out side) I have an existing bathroom that I gutted and am redoing. I cannot move the wall that is framed against the forward foundation (or the tub will not fit). The previous builder had placed the studs only an inch or so away from the concrete. They are non-treated.
There is no room for the accepted foam, space and studs....
Can I just foam that portion of the wall? There is plenty of room for the foam to expand behind the studs and fill the cavity.
This area will have either green board or concrete board on it depending on the area as it frames in the tub which will get new tile.
