Basement Cinderblock Replacement Help
I'm planning to remove some of the old rotten cinder blocks in the basement. The mortar between these blocks are completely deteriorated, and blocks are broken and falling apart (rotten). I'm planning to replace these blocks in the basement. Please give me some advices, what should I do? I also see the mortars between blocks are falling apart.

How many blocks are we talking? Pics? Also need to know which direction your floor joists are running as this will determine how much weight is bearing in the wall.

Looks like a pretty small area, 3 or 4 blocks? The blocks don't look to bad from here. Have you considered just tuckpointing new mortar?

above these blocks is a doorway sitting on it, and I think It's pretty simple to get access and remove these blocks. if I just put new mortar on it, It will break out with in few years later. I want to do something so it can last for few more decades. I'll try to post up the video that way it give a better view. Thanks
