Should I be concerned about frost forming on inside of cement basement walls (in the Corners) that are above ground level ? This frost occured at -20c. and colder. Now that it's warmer it's damp.
I was also wondering if it is code now to put poly on the bare cement walls before insulating with fibreglass batts? We live in Saskatchewan Canada.
i would be concerned as there's probably a high humidity problem inside the bsmt,,, warm air contains higher water vapor than cold air,,, when the damp air hits the cold surface, condensation forms,,, vapor barrier then insulation will resolve the issue,,, rather than f/g, i'd use foam panels glued to the wall w/taped joints,,, its not normal that you'd need a dehumidifier in the winter but stranger things occur
