Baseboard Air Leakage

Hi all,

I noticed cold outside air infiltrating where the 4 inch baseboard and hardwood floor meets. My thoughts are to remove the baseboard, cut an inch of drywall and foam seal any cracks.

Are there better suggestions on stopping the leakage.

Thanks,
Art

Baseboard Air Leakage

Yes. The walls are 2 X 6 construction and there is fiberglass batts.

There is a strong breeze coming from the entry panel for the whirlpool tub. Looking underneath the tub I see 2 mil vapour barrier which is not stapled or caulked with acoustical sealant to the sill. It is just hanging down. Don't know if this is indicative of the rest of the walls or just the tub enclosure.

Thanks,
Art
