Backlighting a glass block bar
Building a bar in my basement out of glass block. The bar will be about 40 inches or so high and roughly 5 foot on one side with an L shape and another 3-4 foot or so. I'm looking to back light the bar between the glass block and the back of the cabinets. I would like a blue color. I've heard of several different ways including rope lights, and fiber optics. Fiber optics are a little too expensive for me. I'd like to have it so you can't see the strings of light behind the block, but rather just the glow. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How about Rope Light?

Any idea who sells rope lighting bright enough to light the whole thing up equally? I've seen it around but it doesn't seem bright enough. I was a dark blue color to it.
