Question

Backerboard question for bathroom remodel

My husband and I are remodeling a bathroom and are not sure if the backerboard goes in front of the lip on the tub or behind it. Can someone help us?

Backerboard question for bathroom remodel

Backerboard goes behind or to the top edge of tub nailing flange depending on thickness of backerboard in order for your tile to be set over the lip but not touching the tub. That area should be caulked.
