Question

Attic Fan Thermostat Issue

My electrician recently installed a standard attic thermostat:

Problem is, it never shuts off - even when it is turned up to 120 and the temperature in the attic drops to 50. Every review of this thing I have seen online rates it 5/5 stars.

My electrician has always done great work - so that's not the issue. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? I would think that he would have seen a broken mechanism when he installed it.

Only 2 possibilities:
The thermostat is defective
The thermostat is installed incorrectly
Either one is possible. Have your electrician come back and look at it.

Incorrectly installed. See page two http://www.gaf.com/Residential_Roofi...structions.pdf

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?
