Frank More Newbie   Join Date: Jan 2011 Posts: 1	Asphalt roofing tile recall A contractor for roofing told me that the Asphalt shingles are no longer used and that new type of plastic roofing materials are now being used. Is that true

I am telling you and the OP that there are plastic shingles on the market. I've seen them in my area. Don't like the look of them but no doubt they go with the plastic siding and plastic windows

KarlJay Member   Join Date: Dec 2009 Posts: 151	Asphalt roofing tile recall I wonder what the fire rating is on the plastic roofs. I know ABS puts out poision gas when burned. I had a plastic space heater catch fire and it just kept burning once it caught fire, metal would not have done that.
