What boards, the siding on the house?

What do you mean by artificial wall?

Covering up rotting wood is never a good idea. In most cases you're going to be better off by replacing the siding or trim or whatever is rotting, and you also need to determine what is causing the rotting (water intrusion usually) before mitigating the problem.

Your question is unfortunately much too general for us to offer any better information.
