Armstrong Ceiling Tile

Getting ready to install drop ceiling in my basement. We plan to use 2 X 2 grid because my wife says that looks nicer than 2 X 4. General use basement with rec room (yes TV), bathroom, bedrooms, etc. I have installed Roxul in the ceiling in the area that will be above the TV and below a bedroom on the main floor. I am most concerned with the sound transmission through the ceiling to the bedroom above and between the bedrooms and bathroom in the basement. (The walls are already drywalled with fiberglass in the studs.) Now, what ceiling tile should I use? Lowes has Armstrong Classic Fine Textured Contractor #954 for $6.64 per 2 x 2 panel. This is getting a little pricey as I need 330 panels. This panel has an NRC of .70 and CAC of 35. Are these the two numbers that are important? Lowes also has "Textured Contractor" #949 for $2.22 per panel. This has an NRC of 55 and CAC of 33. Will the difference between these two be noticeable? Are the other specific tiles I should look at?

Armstrong Ceiling Tile

The link gives some very helpful facts. Thank you!

Would anyone like to offer real world experience and/or opinions about specific tiles and/or experiences?
