any1 4 NYS 2007 code help?
 

OK, trying to interpret new 2007 existing building nys codes.

regarding fire rock on wood framed commercial building. confusion on type of use, change of use, compartment size, etc. Building going from a bingo hall with kitchen to a fitness center. Kitchen being removed and replaced with locker rooms/showers. No moisture rock anywhere in the bldg now. I want the new locker rooms to be moisture rock, owner bought 1/2" I think it should be 5/8"

I'm not familiar with the NYS codes, but it seems the commercial space built on LI is 5/8" firecode over steel studs. I do residential remodeling as a living and this is just my observations of commercial space I see being built.
