Andersen picture window

The exterior miter trim that goes around my picture window keeps popping off, almost like the miters were not correctly cut for the window. I would like to silicone, what will this do to the window? I am not a DIY person, I need the easiest fix on a tight budget.

I don't believe Andersen has a metal window......but I could be wrong.
Is this something added over the window or butted up to it?

The "skinny trim piece" sounds like the 1" vinyl wrap has split & separated but need pic or more info.
